I came into this world being persistent. It's instinctual for me. Persist until you succeed!

I discovered the power of imagination early on in life. If I could dream it, I could create it

(especially with the assistance of a few cardboard boxes).

Just like my kicks from

7th grade, I'm unique.

I don't play by the rules.

In fact, I don't even

believe in the rules.

I think differently.

I don't follow

the trends.

I create

them.

There is no value more important to me than integrity. My dad taught me to "do the right thing, even when no one is watching" when I was very small. I choose to live with integrity in all aspects of my life.

I'm adaptable. I've learned that being a leader means being able to wear many different hats, and being a good leader means knowing which hat to wear in any given situation.

I believe in the power of education.

I'm incredibly passionate about ensuring all

children have access to an education that

embraces the notion of "thinking differently" while

fostering critical thinking & problem solving skills.

I'm also a fan of the oxford comma.

us to always "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping."

After hearing that, I knew that I needed to not only look for the helpers, but be a helper. My 5 year experience with Dance Marathon, a non profit organization that raises millions of dollars for children's hospitals, chants FTK (For The Kids), and thinks fanny packs are cool has shown me the power of being a helper in this world.

I love quotes.

I love quotes, and I love books.

While I'm always learning from my own experiences, I also find great value in learning from the successes and failures

I'm a firm beliver that people don't buy what you do, they buy why

you do it. I put the why first in all I do. The how's, what's, and when's are important, but the why is where you can connect with people. And connecting with

people is powerful.

of others. We all have stories. I'm a believer that those stories matter and deserve to be shared.

I am a helper.

When we saw scary things in

the news, Mister Rogers reminded

I'm not afraid to rock the boat. Life is about taking on challenges today in order to create brighter tomorrows. A little boat rocking is necessary if you want to continue to grow. I've learned how to rock the boat while still remaining afloat, and I'm proud of that.
